The number of claims for legal malpractice or breach of fiduciary duty remain consistently high. Mr. Ellis will be discussing 10 practical ways to avoid malpractice pitfalls and traps that may lead to such claims.
Mr. Ellis earned his law degree from California Western School of Law, cum laude, in 1985. He earned his undergraduate degree from the College of William & Mary in 1982. Mr. Ellis has practiced in the area of legal malpractice defense for the last 36 years. He has handled hundreds of legal malpractice cases and has tried more than 50 malpractice cases to verdict or judgment. He is one of the few attorneys across California certified by the California State Bar as a legal malpractice specialist. Over the last 20 years, he has been named as a Northern California SuperLawyer, as one of the Best Lawyers in America, and as one of the best lawyers in Sacramento by Sacramento Magazine.
