Beginning October 12 through December 7, PFLEC will present a 3-part series.

In Part 1 George Akagi, Rosemary Jamison and Raquelle Vernon will discuss the mental health aspects, with attorneys Raquelle Vernon and Cynthia Jamison discussing the legal aspects, of Public and Private CCRC.  FCS will explain Tier 2 mediations as well as Private Mediators who will be offering limited recommended private evaluations.

Part 2, to be held on November 9, 2022, will be Resist/Refuse.  We will have counsel and mental health professionals discussing what to do when you have a resist refusal case. Sometimes resist refuse is a rational response, other times it is the product of something placed in the child’s brain. Once determined, what is the best course of action? Attend this event to hear guidance on this issue.  Stephanie Stilley, retired Commissioner John Paulsen, Jaya Badiga and Dr. Eugene Roeder will be the speakers.

Part 3 will be held on December 7, 2022.  The topic for this final segment will be on DVRO vs. Ex Parte.  What is emotional abuse - what constitutes abuse?  Explore what constitutes abuse towards children, how to protect them, and tips and guidance on whether a DVRO or an Ex Parte is appropriate.  Our speakers will be the Hon. Suzanne Gazzaniga, Emily Seki, Rosemary Jamison and George Akagi.

All three segments will take place in the Solarium Room by the restaurant at Timbercreek clubhouse.  Price is $30 per segment for FL section members and $35 for all others, including non-PCB members.

To sign up for all three segments, you will need to do 3 separate registrations.  Don't worry about the message warning that you have already signed up when you sign up for Parts 2 & 3.

Space is limited; walk-in registration will not be available.  Because we are required to pre-order at least 7 days in advance, please reserve your seat accordingly.   Please your lunch selection at the time of registration
