Don’t be scared to take a case involving military retirement plans!  With QDROCounsel dividing these benefits is doable whether the military defined benefit plan (annuity) or the military thrift savings plan (like a 401k).  We will discuss what information is needed, what plans are involved, issues surrounding an active employees vs. a retired employees, the best way to divide the plan, important language to make sure if in your judgment language to preserve survivor benefits as well as in the domestic relations order.
