The Self-Help Center has computers that can be used to prepare your forms and calculate your support, including overdue support (arrearages). The Self-Help center is staffed by an attorney and/or paralegal interns. The attorneys in the self-help center cannot give strategic or tactical advice
The Self-Help center provides help with: divorce, legal separation, annulment, child custody, child support, domestic violence.
There is no child care available at the Self-Help Center. If you must bring your child, bring a friend who can watch your child while you are in the Center.
Hours: Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. to noon.

In 90 minutes, this video covers: the divorce process; separate and community property and debts; spousal support; child custody and visitation; child support; how to negotiate and settle your case; how to make a written agreement; when and how to use an attorney when you are handling your own case. This video/DVD is available at Placer County Public Libraries. You may also view the video at the County Law Library 1523 Lincoln Way, across from the Historic Courthouse in Auburn. Foresthill: In the Foresthill Justice Court behind the Library in the Community Center building at 24580 Main Street, Foresthill.
Wednesdays 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments recommended but drop-ins are welcome. Call Family Cooperative Project in Foresthill (367-4751) to schedule an appointment.
