2008 PCBA President Levin Congratulations to Judge Richard Couzens, named by the Judicial Council as "Jurist of the Year" for 2008. A well-earned recognition. Many thanks to Judges Frances Kearney and Jeff Penney, Commissioner Dirk Amara, and Angela Bradrick and Amy Rudd, for their excellent family law panel on behalf of the courts at the Bill Santucci Justice Center on Oct. 29. Apart from some sound problems, the feedback has been phenomenal, and PCBA hopes to continue fostering direct dialogue between bench and bar. PCBA election ballots are in the November Newsletter. They can be mailed in with your dues (but must be received by Dec. 4) or they may be turned in in person at the Judge's Reception on Dec. 4, from 5:30-7 at the ARTS Building in Auburn. There are two contested slots, so review the candidate statements and vote wisely.
